Mary'S Wassail - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. apple cider
    2 qt. apricot nectar
    3 c. dark rum
    1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    6 (3-inch) sticks cinnamon
    3 small oranges
    1 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
Preparation
    Combine cider, nectar, rum, brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon sticks in a large Dutch oven.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 1 hour.
    Stud oranges with cloves and add to cider mixture.
    Serve hot.
    Yields 1 1/2 gallons.
