End Of The Garden Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced cucumber
    1 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped cabbage
    1 c. cut green beans (green)
    1 c. cut green beans (yellow)
    1 c. lima beans
    1 c. carrots, scraped and finely cut
    1 c. whole kernel corn
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. turmeric
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Soak cucumber, pepper, onion and cabbage in salt water (1/2 cup salt to 2 quarts water) for 30 minutes.
    Combine remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Turn heat on low and simmer for 15 minutes.
    Add raw, soaked vegetables.
    Boil again for 15 minutes.
    Put in hot, sterilized jars and seal.
    Makes 6 to 7 pints.
