Oatmeal Cocoa Chippers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    12 oz. chocolate chips
    2 c. oats
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream sugars, shortening and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each.
    Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl.
    Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chips and walnuts, if desired.
    Drop on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake 9 to 11 minutes for chewy cookies; 12 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
    Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet; cool completely.
