Ingredients

1 stick margarine
2 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 whole eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose white flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Melt margarine; remove from heat.
Add sugar and eggs to margarine.
Sift together flour and baking powder, then add to margarine mixture.
Then add vanilla and nuts.
Spread in a well-greased and floured pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch square pan).
Bake at 325\u00b0 for approximately 25 minutes or until a toothpick
can be inserted and comes out clean.
When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
