Indian Pudding(Served Hot Or Cold; Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cold milk
    1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 275\u00b0.
    Butter a 2-quart baking dish.
    Stir together 1 cup cold milk and cornmeal.
    In heavy bottomed saucepan, heat remaining 3 cups of milk to a bare simmer; stir in cornmeal.
    Stir quickly until smooth.
    Stir constantly 4 to 5 minutes over medium heat until thickened.
    Remove from heat. Stir in sugar, spices and salt.
    Mix well.
    Add molasses and cream, blending well.
    Pour into baking dish and bake for 2 hours. Serve warm with a little heavy cream poured over it.
    May be served cold also.
