Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cornmeal
    1 can creamed corn
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. melted shortening
    1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers
    1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
    2/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in bowl, except for cheese.
    Mix well. Pour 1/2 batter in a hot greased 9 or 10-inch pan.
    Sprinkle cheese on top and cover with remaining batter.
    Cook at 450\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
