German Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2/3 c. cherry preserves
    2/3 c. apricot preserves
    2/3 c. pineapple preserves
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Beat in eggs. Mix flour, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Mix buttermilk and soda.
    Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Fold in preserves, nuts and vanilla.
    Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours.
