Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. scalded milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 yeast cake, dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
    2 eggs, well beaten
    3 3/4 c. flour, well sifted
Preparation
    Add sugar, butter and salt to hot milk.
    When cool, add dissolved yeast, beaten eggs and enough flour to make a stiff batter.
    Cover; let rise until double its size.
    Cut mixture; beat thoroughly.
    Spread smoothly in 2 greased round layer cake tins. Cover with second mixture.
