Congo Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 sticks margarine
1 box light brown sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
2 3/4 c. self-rising flour
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1 c. chopped nuts or coconut
Preparation

Melt butter on low heat.
Add brown sugar and mix well.
Add flour gradually.
Add chocolate chips and nuts or coconut.
Pour into large greased biscuit pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes (no longer).
Let cool and cut in squares.
These are chewy, like brownies.
