Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1/4 c. melted shortening
1 c. washed blueberries (optional)
2 c. buttermilk (for thinner pancakes add 1/2 c. milk)
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
In large bowl mix wet ingredients (except berries).
Add dry ingredients.
Hand beat only enough to moisten.
Leave some lumps.
Cook on ungreased griddle.
