Holiday Spice Potpourri - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 each: oranges and lemons
    1/2 c. each: whole cloves and whole allspice
    10 cinnamon sticks, broken
    10 bay leaves, crumbled
Preparation
    Peel and cut up fresh peaches.
    Put into copper boiler.
    Add sugar to taste.
    A long ladle is used to push the peaches back and forth.
    After peach butter has cooked down, it is put into jars for the winter.
