Animal Or Alphabet Cracker Necklaces - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 oz. chocolate-flavored candy coating, cut into pieces
32 plain animal crackers (or alphabet crackers)
32 miniature pretzel twists
8 yards ribbon or round elastic cord (1/8-inch wide), cut into 8 (1-yard) lengths
40 assorted ring-shaped candies and/or cereal pieces (hard or gummy Lifesavers)

Preparation

Melt candy coating in small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
Spread candy coating generously on flat side of 4 animal crackers.
Place one pretzel in the coating on each cracker, leaving top two holes of pretzel open to allow for threading ribbon of necklace.
Allow to set.
Repeat with remaining candy coating, animal crackers and pretzels.
