Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. vanilla
2 c. vanilla wafers
2 c. sliced ripe bananas
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and milk in a large saucepan.
Cook and stir on medium heat until thickened. Beat eggs lightly with wire whisk.
Add a little hot mixture to eggs and blend well.
Pour eggs into mixture in saucepan.
Continue cooking for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
Add butter and vanilla.
Blend mixture well.
Cover pudding.
Cool slightly. Place layer of vanilla wafers on bottom of casserole dish. Alternate with layers of banana slices and pudding, ending with pudding on top.
Put dish in the center of preheated oven of 350\u00b0. Bake for 10 minutes.
