Lazy Daisy Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. Quaker oats
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats.
    Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Beat butter and add sugars.
    Blend in vanilla and eggs.
    Add oats and mix well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Pour batter into greased and floured oblong cake pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
