Plum Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. powdered sugar
    2 Tbsp. cider or other flavoring
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream
    butter
    and
    powdered
    sugar.
    Add the cider and well beaten
    egg
    yolks.
    When
    well mixed, stir in the milk. Cook in a double boiler until it is thick as custard.
    Gradually pour it into the beaten egg whites, beating constantly.
