Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. sliced cucumbers
6 medium onions sliced
2 green peppers sliced
3 cloves sliced garlic
1/3 cup pickling salt
5 cups sugar
3 cups vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seeds
2 Tbsp. mustard seeds
Preparation

Combine vegetables and cover with ice water.
Let stand 3 hours or overnight.
Drain well.
Combine sugar, vinegar, turmeric, celery seeds and mustard seeds.
Combine everything in a large sauce pan.
Bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
Fill jars to within half inch from the top.
