Communion Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients
-
3/4 c. plain flour
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 to 4 tsp. cold milk
Preparation
-
Sift the flour into a bowl.
Cut in the butter until mixture resembles very coarse meal.
Add milk, 2 teaspoons at a time, mixing lightly until the dough looks and feels like pie crust dough.
Use more milk, if needed.
Form the dough into 2 balls. Wrap in waxed paper and chill for 1 hour or more.
Place 1 ball on a lightly floured board.
Roll until very thin and rectangular in shape.
With help of a spatula, place on bottom of a cookie sheet. Score dough in 3/4-inch squares.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until brown.
Lift from pan immediately.
When cool, bread will break easily.
