Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bucket tomatoes (ripe peck), peeled, cored and cut small
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 qt. chopped onions
    2 c. sweet peppers, chopped
    hot peppers to taste
    salt to taste
    1 box pickling spice
Preparation
    Tie spices in a cheesecloth; add to other ingredients.
    Cook slowly on low heat until thick like preserves.
    Can cook on medium to high heat; keep eye on it.
    Stir often.
    Use wooden spoon for stirring.
    Seal in hot jars.
