Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg and dry ingredients; mix well.
    Chill dough.
    Roll and cut with cookie cutters.
    Take a small amount of dough at a time and keep the other refrigerated.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Remove to rack to cool.
