Dolphin Inn New Orleans Style French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 regular can evaporated milk (12 oz.)
    1 c. sugar
    3 extra large or 4 regular eggs
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1 Tbsp. Hiram Walker Amaretto & cognac *
    1 loaf French bread
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Beat first 5 ingredients 100 strokes with wire whisk.
    Slice bread about 3/4-inches thick.
    Dip individually in mix and drain excess.
    Brown on both sides on griddle coated with Pam or other no stick cooking spray.
    Place on paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
