Yam Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. grated, uncooked yams or sweet potatoes (about 2 lb.)
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    3 eggs, beaten
    2 Tbsp. margarine or butter, softened
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    cream or ice cream
Preparation
    Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Grease a square baking dish, 8 x 8 x 2-inches.
    Mix all ingredients except cream; pour into dish.
    Bake until a knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, about 1 hour.
    Serve with cream.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
