Laura Osgood Bean'S Sourdough Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sourdough starter
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. very warm milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    5 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. water
    egg white
Preparation
    Combine yeast, milk, sugar and salt.
    Let stand until foamy. Add sourdough starter.
    Combine with flour; knead until shiny.
    Let rise until doubled in size.
    Shape into loaves; let rise.
    Brush tops with mixture of slightly beaten egg white and water.
    Bake for 40 minutes at 400\u00b0.
