Welsh Griddle Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. margarine
    pinch of cinnamon
    3 oz. currants
    egg and milk to mix
    pinch of salt
    pinch of mixed spices
    3 oz. brown sugar
    1 oz. chopped peel
Preparation
    Rub fat into flour.
    Add other ingredients and mix with milk or egg and milk to a pastry consistency.
    Roll out and cut into rounds.
    Heat griddle for 5 minutes.
    Cook both sides at reduced heat.
    Serve hot dusted with caster sugar or cold spread with butter.
