Apple Crisp - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sliced, tart apples (about 4 medium)
2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. quick cooking oats (not instant)
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Grease pan (either an 8 x 8 x 2-inch square or round).
Place apple slices in pan. Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly.
Sprinkle over apples.
Bake 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
Serve warm with light cream or ice cream, if desired.
Yields 10 to 12 servings.
