Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium cooking apples
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Peel and quarter apples, place in medium saucepan.
    Pour water over apples, bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, cover and cook about 10 minutes, until apples are tender, but not mushy.
    Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and butter.
    Use potato masher or food processor to blend mixture.
    Serve warm or chilled, can be frozen.
