Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 oz. chocolate squares
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Melt shortening and chocolate squares over hot water in a double boiler.
    Cool.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Beat eggs until light; add sugar and chocolate mixture and blend.
    Add flour, vanilla and nuts and mix well.
    Bake in 8-inch greased pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool; cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar.
