Tonic For Horse Colic - cooking recipe

Ingredients

10 oz. sodium sulphate
5 oz. sodium chloride
1 oz. sodium bicarbonate
1 oz. ferric sulphate
1 oz. powdered ginger
1 oz. powdered gentian
1 oz. powdered nux vomica
1 oz. tincture of Indian hemp
1 pt. sweet milk

Preparation

Place the mixture in an empty long neck wine bottle and then force open the horse's mouth to insert bottle neck into back of the mouth behind the jaw teeth to drench.
Allow bottle to empty before removing.
Administer one dose every 30 minutes.
Also, keep horse up and walking for about 2 hours.
