Cherry Cheese Danish For A Crowd - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz. each)
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 large egg
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 (8 oz. each) tubes crescent rolls
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 egg yolk
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Lightly butter a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch cookie sheet.
    Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla.
    Press 1 can rolls to make a crust on cookie sheet.
    Bake 4 minutes.
    Cool slightly.
    Spread mixture over dough.
    Scatter cherries evenly over cheese mixture.
    Unroll remaining rolls and separate in 8 triangles and arrange on top.
    They will not cover completely. Glaze with egg yolk.
    Bake 30 minutes.
    Cool and dust with powdered sugar.
