Low Calorie Spaghetti Squash Marinara - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium spaghetti squash (2 1/2 to 3 lb.)
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. fennel seed, crushed (optional)
    grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Halve squash lengthwise.
    Scoop out seeds.
    Place squash, cut side down, in a baking dish.
    With a fork, prick the skin all over.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until tender.
