Chicken Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 medium onions, thinly sliced
    1 green bell pepper, sliced
    1 large carrot, sliced
    2 stalks celery, sliced
    1 turnip, diced
    1 parsnip, sliced
    1/2 chicken, cut in pieces
    4 chicken bouillon cubes
    3 sprigs parsley, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter in stock pot.
    Lightly saute vegetables.
    Add remaining ingredients and 1 1/2 quarts of water.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    Reduce heat and simmer, partially covered, stirring occasionally, for 1 1/2 hours. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with warm noodles or rice.
