Picante Black Bean Soup(Makes 6 To 8 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 slices bacon, diced
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 (15 oz. each) cans black beans, undrained
1 (about 14 oz.) can beef broth
1 1/4 c. water
3/4 c. Pace picante sauce
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano leaves, crushed
sour cream
additional Pace picante sauce and crackers
Preparation

Cook bacon over medium-high heat in large saucepan until crisp. Remove to paper towels.
Set aside. Add onion and garlic to drippings; cook and stir 3 minutes. Add beans, broth, water, 3/4 cup picante sauce, salt and oregano.
Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Ladle into soup bowls; dollop with sour cream. Sprinkle with reserved bacon. Serve with additional picante sauce and crackers.
