Homemade Bisquick - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 c. flour
    1/3 c. baking powder
    4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. shortening
Preparation
    Stir baking powder, salt and cream of tartar into the flour. Cut in shortening and mix until like cornmeal.
    Store in airtight container at room temperature.
    Keeps about 6 weeks and may be used for anything Bisquick is used for.
