Spaghetti Meat Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
    2 c. water
Preparation
    In large pot, combine onion, meat and garlic; cook until meat is browned and onion is tender.
    Skim off excess fat; add remaining ingredients and water.
    Simmer, uncovered, 3 hours or until sauce is thick.
    Stir occasionally.
    Serve over spaghetti.
