Sweet Potato Pone(Heritage) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. shredded raw sweet potato
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Combine potatoes, water, sugar, salt and ginger.
    Turn into a 1-quart casserole.
    Dot with butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until potatoes are tender and caramelized, stirring occasionally, about 2 hours. Makes 4 servings.
