Aunt Dede'S Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. water
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. oil
    1 1/2 c. celery, sliced
    1 green pepper, diced
    1 red sweet pepper, diced
    3 to 6 green onions, chopped
    1 small pkg. frozen French-cut green beans, thawed
    1 small pkg. frozen green peas, thawed
    1 can or small pkg. Shoe Peg corn
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Mix sugar, water, vinegar and oil in a small saucepan.
    Bring to a rapid boil, stirring constantly.
    Cool completely.
    Mix the vegetables with cooled dressing and refrigerate.
