Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe

pastry for 8-inch one-crust pie
1 egg
1 1/4 c. canned pumpkin
2/3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. cloves
1 1/4 c. evaporated milk or light cream
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Prepare pastry.
Beat the egg slightly with rotary beater.
Beat in remaining ingredients.
Pour into pastry lined pie pan.
(To prevent spills, place pie pan on oven rack or on open oven door when filling with pumpkin mixture.)
Bake for 15 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake for 35 more minutes.
Cool.
