Scallops Au Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. fresh scallops
1 small jar mushrooms
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. oil
1 3/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
dash of salt
dash of white pepper
1 Tbsp. cooking wine
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. white Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Rinse scallops in cold water; drain and set aside.
Saute mushrooms in 1/4 cup oil.
Remove mushrooms and reserve drippings. Combine milk and cornstarch.
Stir to remove lumps.
Pour into drippings.
Add mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened.
Stir in scallops, mushrooms and cooking wine.
Pour mixture into a greased casserole.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs and cheese.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
