Aunt Frieda'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. lemon extract
4 eggs
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Cream the butter with the sugar. Add extract.
Beat egg yolks. Add to mixture.
Mix well.
Sift flour before measuring.
Sift dry ingredients. Add to first mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Add stiffly beaten egg whites, folding in.
Grease and lightly flour two 8-inch layer pans or 1 large loaf pan. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1/2 hour for layers; 1 hour for loaf.
