Peggy Dring'S Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. walnuts or pecans
    1 1/4 c. corn oil
    4 large eggs
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. raisins
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. grated raw carrots
Preparation
    In separate container, follow next 3 steps.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
    Mix together raisins and nuts with 2 tablespoons of flour mixture. Beat together the sugar, oil and vanilla.
    Thoroughly beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Stir in sifted ingredients in several additions alternately with carrots.
    Stir in floured raisins and nut mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans.
