Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. milk
4 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
Add milk.
Sift dry ingredients together into creamed mixture.
Mix and add raisins. Chill dough, then roll it out and cut with round cookie cutter or a glass.
Cook in an electric frypan at slow temperatures until lightly browned.
Grease frypan lightly with Crisco each time.
