Swiss Steak For Two - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. beef round steak (1/2 to 3/4-inch thick)
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 medium green pepper, sliced
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cut meat into 2 pieces.
    Mix flour, salt and pepper; coat meat in flour mixture.
    Heat oil in 8-inch skillet.
    Brown meat over medium heat, about 15 minutes.
    Add tomatoes to skillet.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Add green pepper, onion and salt.
    Cover; simmer until meat is tender, 30 to 45 minutes.
    (Add small amount of water, if necessary.)
    Makes 2 servings.
