Breakfast Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. hash brown potatoes with onions
    1 qt. hot water
    1/2 c. cottage cheese
    1 c. shredded cheese
    1 green onion, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    4 to 5 drops Tabasco sauce
    6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled or cooked sausage
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Cover hash browns with 1 quart of hot water and let stand 10 minutes; drain.
    Beat eggs.
    Add potatoes and remaining ingredients.
    Pour into well-greased pie plate.
    Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
    Place cold pie plate (uncovered) in cold oven.
    Turn heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 35 minutes or until potatoes are tender and eggs are set.
    Excellent idea for a brunch.
    Bagels go very well with this dish.
