Icebox Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. plain salt
    1 gal. cucumbers
    1 1/4 tsp. mustard seed
    1 1/4 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/4 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Mix well; do not heat.
    Pour over cucumbers and store in airtight container for 5 days.
    Do not open for 5 days.
