Lemon Sponge Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 lemons (rind and juice)
unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation

Cream together the butter, flour and sugar.
Add egg yolks; mix well.
Add lemon rind and juice.
Stir in milk.
Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into mixture.
Pour into pie shell.
Bake for about 25 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Pie should be lightly browned and set.
When pie is cut, you have a creamy filling on the bottom and it is cakelike on top.
