Georgia Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    3 c. quick oats
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix together in 2-quart pan the shortening, sugar and milk. Put over medium heat and stir until it reaches a full rolling boil.
    Mix together in a large bowl the oats, vanilla, coconut and chocolate chips.
    Pour boiling liquid over the dry ingredients and mix together quickly.
    Drop by teaspoon on waxed paper.
