Cottage Cheese Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cottage cheese
1 egg
3 to 4 Tbsp. milk or buttermilk
5 Tbsp. oil
2 c. flour, sifted
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda (only if buttermilk used)
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg yolk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Blend cottage cheese, egg, milk and oil in processor or by hand.
Sift together dry ingredients and combine with cottage cheese mixture.
Turn out on a floured board and knead until smooth.
Shape into 8 to 10 rolls and place on greased baking sheet.
Brush each roll with the undiluted egg yolk and slash the top with a sharp knife.
Sprinkle the tops with the poppy seed or caraway seed.
Bake 20 to 22 minutes until golden brown.
Serve warm.
