Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. rice
    1 lb. round steak
    2 tsp. paprika
    2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    2 cloves garlic
    1 to 2 c. beef broth or bouillon cubes
    1 c. sliced onion
    2 green peppers, sliced
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    2 large tomatoes, sliced
Preparation
    Cut steak into 1/4-inch strips, sprinkle with paprika and let stand while preparing other ingredients.
    Brown meat in butter, add garlic and broth, cover and simmer 30 minutes or until meat is tender; stir in onions and green peppers and cook until vegetables are tender.
    Blend cornstarch, water and soy sauce.
    Stir into meat mixture and cook until thick (about 2 minutes).
    Add tomatoes and stir.
    Serve over hot rice.
    Makes about 6 servings.
