Freezer Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. sliced cucumbers
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 green or red pepper, sliced
    1/4 c. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Place cucumbers, onion and green pepper slices in bowl; sprinkle between layers with salt and allow to stand in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
    Rinse well and drain.
    Prepare solution of sugar and vinegar.
    Stir until sugar is dissolved.
    Mixture may be heated slightly to dissolve sugar. Place cucumber mixture in freezer bags or boxes and pour solution over to cover.
    Store in freezer.
    Defrost when needed.
