Red Hot Cheese Wafers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 sticks butter or 3/4 c.
    1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ground red pepper
    1 c. chopped peanuts
    2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Pour over grated cheese; add salt, red pepper and peanuts.
    Stir to mix.
    Gradually mix in flour.
    When thoroughly mixed, form dough into 1-inch logs.
    Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until cold enough to slice into 1/4-inch slices.
    Bake slices on cookie sheet in preheated 475\u00b0 oven for about 10 minutes.
    Makes 12 dozen.
