Chicken Alexander - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 2 1/2 lb. chicken
    1 can creamed corn
    1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 onion, chopped
    1 tsp. garlic
    1/4 c. grated cheese
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    mashed potatoes
Preparation
    Boil chicken in 2 cups water.
    When chicken is tender, strain broth and set aside for later use.
    Flake chicken.
    Heat 1 tablespoon oil; saute garlic and onion.
    Add chicken.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Add heated creamed corn.
    In another casserole, melt butter.
    Add flour, then add broth gradually.
    Add evaporated milk; bring to a boil.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Add sauteed chicken-corn mixture.
    Simmer for 10 minutes.
    Decorate sides of Pyrex dish with mashed potatoes.
    Place chicken in center.
    Top with grated cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
